 LIC posts ₹683 crore profit for quarter 1 - assets of ₹41 lakh crore - 

In the first quarter, the corporation made gross equity investments of Rs 46,444 crore and sales of Rs 12,448 crore, resulting in a net investment of Rs 34,000 crore. The corporation’s assets under management stood at Rs 41 lakh crore — a 7. 6% increase over Rs 38. 1 lakh crore at end of the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

LIC owns stocks worth Rs 9.5 lakh crore!

In value terms, LIC held Rs 95,274 crore worth Reliance Industries' shares as of December 31. TCS and Infosys were its next two biggest holdings at the end of the December quarter, together amounting to Rs 95,488 crore in value.

ITC (Rs 43,557 crore), SBI (Rs 33,855), L&T (Rs 31,960), ICICI Bank (Rs 31,948 and Hindustan Unilever (Rs 24,747 crore) were among its biggest holdings as of December 31 in value terms.

As of September 30, 2022, the Life Insurance Corporation of India's (LIC) total equity portfolio was worth approximately Rs 10.27 lakh crore. The value of LIC's investment in the Adani Group was estimated to be around 7 per cent of this total.

Last year, it took a short and then a long position in Twitter Inc. In May, Hindenburg said it was short because it believed that Elon Musk's $44-billion offer to take the company private could get repriced lower if the world's richest person walked away from the deal. I feel that Adani companies are in profits and have huge potential as Sanjiv Bhasin has endorsed his views and Tehseen Poonawalla is willing to put his money in these Adani group of stocks 

No issues for LIC policy holders as being propagated by various political parties - and on top of every thing LIC is not sold out but a mere 3.5 percent of stake is being made public - taking a cue from the remarkable success of Hindustan Zinc privatisation of 45 percent of government share and the remaining 30 percent stake and dividends in last 20 years are so significant that the loss making 70 PSU units look pale in earnings and have become a burden on the government’s exchequer !!

Investment on Adani group shares is 80 k crores and its major investments are in TCS - Infosys and Reliance industries amongst many profit making companies - 

By the LIC is not sold out - a mere 3.5 percent is made into a Public Issue - Government holds more than 90 percent stake in LIC !!

గత ఆర్థిక  సంవత్సరంలో LIC సంస్థకు equities లో లాభాలు 42 వేల కోట్లు - 

LIC ఇన్వెస్టమెంట్‌ equities లో - ఆదాని గ్రూప్ - కంటే ఎక్కువ పెట్టుబడులు - —TCS - Infosys మరియు Reliance industries సంస్థలలో ఉన్నవి - 

20 వేల కోట్ల పెట్టుబడి - 41 లక్షల ఆస్తులు - ఆదాని కంపెనీలు లాభాలలో ఉన్నాఐప్పుడు - మూతపడలేదు - గత సంవత్సరం అదాని సంస్థలో పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టిన అంతర్జాతీయ సంస్థలు - Total ( France ) - IHC ( Abu Dhabi) - FII ఇంకా ఎన్నో !!
