District Fisheries Officer in ACB Net.
On 03.07.2024, the Accused Officer (A.O.) Sri. Thakoor Roopender Singh, District Fisheries Officer, Suryapet caught red handed when he demanded bribe amount of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant Sri Saragandla Kotaiah, Fisherman-cum-President of Fishermen's Co- Operative Society, Suryapet and accepted from accompanying witness Sri. Endla Suresh, Fisherman-cum-Treasurer of Fishermen's Co- Operative Society, Suryapet to do an official favour i.e. "to issue Fishing Rights Document to their society for fishing". Tainted bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the A.O. Both hand fingers of A.O which came into contact with tainted bribe amount yielded positive result in chemical test. The A.O. performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
Earlier A.O. was trapped by the ACB Officials in the year 2016.
Therefore, A.O. is being arrested and produced before the Hon'ble Ist Addl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court, Nampally, Hyderabad.
The case is under investigation.
